    Accessibility

Travel should be open to everyone. Here's how we work to make both our platform and our day trips accessible.

    Last updated: 1 May 2025

NipponX is committed to making travel discovery and booking accessible to all. This statement outlines the standards we follow, the features we've built, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.

    1. Our Commitment

    Accessible by design

We want everyone to be able to discover and book day trips with NipponX, regardless of ability. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and we treat accessibility as an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time project.

    Continuous improvement

Accessibility is reviewed as part of how we build new features. When we fall short, we want to know — your feedback directly shapes our roadmap.

    2. Platform Features

    Keyboard and screen readers

Our site is navigable by keyboard, and interactive elements carry descriptive labels for screen-reader users. We use semantic structure and ARIA attributes where appropriate so assistive technology can interpret the page correctly.

    Readable and resizable

Text can be resized through your browser without breaking the layout, and we maintain colour-contrast ratios that meet AA thresholds. The interface adapts to mobile, tablet, and desktop screen sizes.

    Language and currency

Content is available in multiple languages and currencies so you can browse and book in the format most comfortable for you.

    3. Accessible Tours

    Accessibility information on tours

Where operators provide it, each tour page notes details such as walking distance, terrain, step-free access, and suitability for mobility aids. We're working with our operators to expand this information across more experiences.

    Tell us your needs

If you have specific accessibility requirements for a trip — mobility, dietary, sensory, or otherwise — contact us at info@nipponx.jp before booking and we'll check with the operator on your behalf so you can travel with confidence.

    4. Feedback & Support

    Report a barrier

If you encounter any part of our platform that is difficult to use with assistive technology, please email info@nipponx.jp with the page and the issue. We treat accessibility reports as a priority and will work with you on an alternative way to complete your booking in the meantime.
