About Imperial Palace East Gardens
The publicly open portion of the Imperial Palace grounds, laid out on the old honmaru and ninomaru of Edo Castle. Massive stone ramparts, the foundations of the lost castle keep, moats and a tranquil Japanese garden sit in the very centre of the city.
