About Sensoji Temple
Founded in 645 CE, Senso-ji is Tokyo's oldest and most-visited Buddhist temple. The giant red Kaminarimon 'Thunder Gate', the Nakamise shopping street and the five-storey pagoda make Asakusa one of the city's most iconic photo stops.
